HW10: Chapter 3

CHAPTER 3
Summary, Conclusions and Recommendations

SUMMARY
This paper attempted to identify or determine the effects of having k to 12 implemented in the Philippines.

The research design used in this study is a descriptive research method wherein data from online articles, surveys and interviews were used to answer the research question posed. The research findings are the following:

1.      Negative effects of the k to 12 program are: there will be an increase of drop out rate for students under k to 12 program, additional cost will be needed by the government, and parents should put up additional cost for their children.
2.      Positive effects of the k to 12 program are: students will have time to master their subjects, teachers will be motivated to teach due to an increase of salary, students will be globally competitive due to recognition globally, student will be ready to enter into college, and graduates of the program can enter into job based on their vocational skills.

CONCLUSIONS

Based on the findings of this study, the following conclusions are drawn:

1.     Teachers will be effective, efficient and motivated.
2.     Students will receive a good quality of education.
3.     Additional problem by the parents to spend money for their children.
4.     Government should increase funds to enable to produce more classrooms, books and better facilities to accommodate number of students
5.     Government should prepare what is needed before they implement the program, not prepare while implementing the program.

RECOMMENDATIONS

After drawing the conclusions of the study, the research hereby make the following suggestions/recommendations:

1.     There should be a researcher who will conduct a study regarding to the quality of education between the k to 12 program and the 10 year program.
2.     There should be a research upon the progress of the program.
3.     When there are graduates from the program, a research shall conduct the effectiveness of the k to 12 program.

HW9:Teachers, are you ready??

From the website of Department of Education (DepEd) they posted an article last February 13, 2012 entitled as DepEd prepares teachers for K to 12. In this article, DepEd ensures that before the implementation of the program that teachers are ready for the program. The DepEd conducted the Test of English Proficiency for Teachers (TEPT) and Process Skills Test (PST) in Science and Mathematics to all public teachers of Grades 1 and 2 nationwide. Those tests are part of DepEd’s assessment whether the teachers of public school have the capability to teach the new curriculum of the k to 12 program.

The result will be the basis on what kind of training was introduced last summer to prepare the teachers. Teachers from NCR, CaLaVaRZon, MIMAROPA, Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, Regions 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 12, CARAGA, Northern Mindanao, Davao Region, Central Luzaon, CAR and ARMM took the TEPT and PST test.

The DepEd did the right thing that they should assess their teachers before they implement the k to 12 program. And they gave training to prepare the teacher for the program. This is a good idea by the DepEd because it will ensure that their teachers is ready or not for the program. Teachers are ready for the program, do the students are ready for the program?

HW8: Students and Teachers are benefited

From Department of Education (DepEd) they posted an article last December 5, 2012 entitled as Math and Science teachers get 3-step salary increase . DepEd implemented guidelines for the grant of 3-step salary increase for teachers of Science and/or Mathematics in public schools.

“Teachers have specialization in Science and/or Mathematics will be given additional pay 3-step higher than the teachers’ assigned grade”. This is from the Joint Resolution No. 4 of the Senate and House of Representatives issued by the Department of Budget and Management. A grant of a 3-step salary increase will be recognized as incentive to teachers who are specialized in Science and/or Mathematics trusting to give focus to teach these subjects in the basic education.

Luistro said that the Science and Mathematics are important tools of industrialization which has a possibility to improve global competitiveness of the country.

Teachers I, II, and III in public schools who are specialized in teaching Science and Mathematics are covered by the grant. The grant was started last January 2011 and the succeeding grants are operative every January of the year.

Based on DepEd Order 79 series of 2002, the school head shall determine qualified teachers based on the review of submitted documents which are:

· Approved appointment
· Transcript of records
· Certificates of training completed in Science and Math
· Individual teachers program indicating daily subject load for the last three school years
· Performance rating for the last three years, and
· Updated service records.

Those who qualified to the criteria will be granted of the 3-step salary increase. And also, teacher must be teaching Science and Mathematics for three years to be granted by this grant.

Another step having a good quality of education is that the teacher specialized in subject. I think this will open the minds of to teacher that they should specialize the subject in order to have a increase salary. I realized it benefited both teachers and students. Teachers will have increase salary and also obtain clear knowledge in the subject. And Students will understand the subject because their teacher will provide discussion that they will understand.

HW7: A good start will result to a better finished

According to the article by the Department of Education (DepEd) entitled DepEd releases criteria in hiring kinder teachers posted last November 19, 2012 the DepEd requires qualifications in hiring and deployment of kindergarten teachers

QUALIFICATIONS

DepEd put up a standard on hiring kindergarten teachers. In the DepEd Order 81, s. 2012 you will find the guidelines on hiring and deployment of kindergarten teachers. Under paragraph two, it stated the qualification of kindergarten teacher-applicants, that applicants must be a degree holder at any of the following:

· Bachelor in Early Childhood Education (ECE)
· Bachelor of Science Preschool Education
· Bachelor of Science (BS) in Family Life and Child Development
· Bachelor in Elementary Education with specialization in Preschool or Early Childhood Education
· Bachelor in Elementary Education major in Teaching Early grades.
· Bachelor in Secondary Education which has an additional diploma in ECE and also who take major related courses to at least 18 units in ECE/Child Development including those in Day Care centers.
· Also teacher applicants must passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) and/or Professional Board Examination for Teacher (PBET) and must not be 46 years old and above.

DEPLOYMENT

In deployment of kindergarten teachers, teaching experience in kinder/preschool both in public and private schools shall be considered and shall follow specific:

· The teacher I plantilla position for kindergarten shall be deployed in public elementary schools where there are existing kindergarten classes with a large population of five-year old children.

· The teacher to be deployed must be in the list of the Division’s Registry of Qualified Applicants.

· A kindergarten teacher shall handle two classes per day; one in the morning and on in the afternoon. Each class shall have at least twenty five children who are five years old for a period of at least three hours per session.

· In a school where there is only one kindergarten class, teacher shall handle another class in a nearby school

· Kindergarten teacher shall be entitled to receive the same benefits and other continuing professional development.

Luistro said that we must follow the quality standards in preparing our young learners, which is also teachers must qualify the required standards in competence and qualification.

In this article, we see another progress of k to 12 program which is to have quality teachers in kindergarten. They put up standards in hiring kindergarten teachers. If these standards will be followed right and quality education will be received by the students.

From what I see it is a good idea that they put up standards in hiring kindergarten teachers because those qualified teachers will provide the right education for the students in the kindergarten and also a quality education. Those teachers qualified are specialized to their job. Therefore, they know what to do in teaching and what not to do.

And also, I see that they want a good quality to the beginning of the learning progress of children. I hope that the students, who have a good quality of education in their education, will be carried in the proceeding years of their education.

HW5: Chapter 2 DISCUSSION

Chapter 2
DISCUSSION

What will be the effects of k to 12 program that differs from 10 year education program?

Defining K to 12 Program
Students who entered into grade 1 and Junior High School (Grade 7) this year are under the k to 12 program meaning they will have additional 2 years of their basic education. K to 12 program uses the k-6-4-2 model. This model simply means k for kindergarten, 6 for 6 years of elementary education, 4 for 4 years of junior high school (grade 7 to 10), and 2 for 2 years of senior high school (grade 11 and 12). Senior High School in k to 12 will have specialization in subjects like science and technology, music and arts, agriculture and fisheries, sports, business and entrepreneurship, and others.

K to 12 program was proposed in the Philippines because the government saw benefits upon implementing it. Students will have more time to mastered their enrolled subject, graduates under the program will have skills and competency to the job which they look for, they also be prepared for higher education and those graduate will be now be recognized outside the Philippines these benefits was seen to individuals and families. And also the government saw that a possibility of increasing the GDP (Gross Domestic Product) in the Philippines, International standards in education to the Philippines, and there will be a better educated persons emotionally and intellectually these are benefits seen by the government to the society and economy. May be these benefits was seen by the government to implement k to 12.

The major goal of the government especially the Department of Education is they want the students to have a quality education that they deserve. Quality education means that they will be rational and focus on excellence, improve academic standards and to have graduates under the program which are highly competitive internationally. In order to achieve this goal government will provide trained teachers to give students quality education.

ADVANTAGES OF K to 12 PROGRAM
K to 12 program will decreased the amount of work in academics. The 10 year program has a full load of work in academics. It has the tendency that some lessons are not thought by teacher because they lack in time. While in k to 12, students will have more time to finish their lessons. Therefore students will have more time to master what they have learned inside the classroom.

Graduates of K to 12 will have effective skills and knowledge that can be use in their desired job. K to 12 will adapt to the fast-changing demands of society to have graduates that has skills that can be used in their work.

Graduates of K to 12 Program will be ready to enter into college. The curriculum of the program will ensure the mastery of important subjects in which the graduate will have the choice to enter college.

Graduate of K to 12 Program will be recognized internationally. The standard of Philippine education system is in international standards. Graduates of the k to 12 program followed the Washington accord and Bologna accord which will facilitate mutual recognition.

A better educated individual can contribute that will help the country to its improvement and development. Graduates from the program was developed emotionally and intellectually individuals which are capable to have effective employment or entrepreneurship.

DISADVANTAGES OF K to 12 PROGRAM

Parents will have to produce more money in order to send their children to school. Even education is free to public schools parents will have to put up money for the allowances and other expenses for another 2 years for their children.

Government lacks on funds for free education. As Filipinos knows that government is always is in shortage for funding in other matters. If it is a free education in public school, government will be in trouble getting the salary for the teachers.

Business firms rarely hire high school graduates.  Many business firms required a degree holder in order to be hired by them. High school graduates can have their jobs on vocational jobs, not for a professional job.

There will be no freshmen for two years in college. Three years from now, the last batch of the students under 10 year program will graduate. College will stop receiving freshmen students because the supposed to be incoming students will have additional 2 years. Therefore, there will be a financial problem for Higher Education Institutions

There will be a chance to increase the drop-out rate of having two more years in basic education.  Students will become lazy and tired studying if they will spend another two years studying.

HW6: Survey report

To have additional findings for my research paper, I have conducted a survey. What I did is an online survey because it is much easier to send survey questions and much easier to tabulate the answers gather in the survey. I asked my friends and random people to answer my survey questions. Some are approachable, while some ignored my request.

I start sending my survey questionnaire November 28, 2012 (Thursday) until December 2, 2012 (Sunday). I send my survey link to thirty (30) people and out of it, only eighteen (18) are my respondents. I have used Google Drive where a made my survey questions and to produce a link of my survey. My survey questions are needed to answer in an essay form. I have asked thirteen (13) questions which of those three (3) are to determine their category and ten (10) are related to my topic.

Out of the eighteen (18) respondents, five (5) were male and thirteen (13) were female. My ideal respondents are teachers, students, and parents which are experiencing the “k to 12” program. But teachers and parents ignored my request to answer my survey questionnaire. Therefore, I only have students’ respondents which are not experiencing the program. So, asked those students to their opinions and I have them answered my survey.

To discuss my survey results I have four (4) major questions which are: “How do you feel about adding 2 years of education in the Philippines?”, “If we add 2 more years, what are the possible effects here in the Philippines?”, “What do you think the Philippines needed to enhance our education performance?”, And “Are we(filipinos) ready to have additional 2 years in basic education?”

How do you feel about adding 2 years of education in the Philippines?

My first major question related to my topic is that how do they feel about adding two (2) years of education in our country. Almost 67% have negative answers in adding two (2) more years those who have negative answer said it is a waste of time and money and we should focus on other aspect in education like improving qualities of teachers and to infrastructures like schools and classrooms. 28% have a positive answer these respondents said that it would be better for the students because they will have time to cover up all lessons and discussion in the class. The 6% of the respondents said that it depends to the school giving quality of education.

If we add 2 more years, what are the possible effects here in the Philippines?

In this question 56% answered that there will be negative possible effects. Respondents said that students will not be able to finish school due to they become tired attending school, and parents will have a hard time sending their children to school because of financial capacity. While 33 % of the respondents answered there will be a positive possible effect. They said that Philippines will produce professionals, there will be an increase in the graduate rate of college because students graduated from k to 12 are ready for college, there would be a high employment rate, Philippines will be recognized and competitive internationally, and Filipinos will become more civilized. The remaining % did not answered this portion.

What do you think the Philippines needed to enhance our education performance?

From what I have observe respondents have similarity to their answers. Based to the respondents’ answers there three which Philippines needed to enhance these are the teachers, schools and its facilities, and budget for education sector. Teachers, teachers are the persons who are giving knowledge to the students. We need to produce more teachers in order to accommodate number of students. And lastly, We need to increase the “right” salary in what they do because if they don’t have the right salary tendency is they are not encourage to teach because they receive what they don’t deserve. Schools and its facilities, good environment to students have the tendency to focus studying. We need to have additional schools and classrooms in order to accommodate number of students because some schools and classroom have crowded students therefor some teacher have the tendency not to recognized their students. Facilities that students will use are factor learning to students so it needed to be improved on. And Budget, if you observed above budget is a big factor in order to fulfil what are needed. Therefor government should give additional funds to the education sector in order to enhance our education performance.

Are we (filipinos) ready to have additional 2 years in basic education

As you can see in the graph, majority of the respondents answers “no” the question if the Filipinos are ready to have additional 2 years in basic education. Their reasons are it will create problem especially financial and we are used to the program. They said that we need not to add two years but we should focus on other things like what I mentioned in the “What do you think the Philippines needed to enhance our education performance?” section. To those who agree to the question they said that Filipino are capable in adjusting on everything.

After conducting my survey, I looked to my prediction in my “HW1:Background of Survey” blog post. I find out that my prediction is the opposite of the finding of my survey. My prediction is respondent will be in favour upon implementing the k to 12 program. Based on what I have read on my survey results. Majority of the respondents said that we need not to add years to enhance our education but we need to improve other things like schools, facilities and teachers to enhance our education.

HW2: Prepare what is needed to prepare

To continue my knowledge about the topic for my research, I sat down in front of my laptop and do the research. Then I found this news article K-to-12 summit threshes out new education strategies from MANILA TIMES. In this article written by Neil Alcober, he wrote that the first summit concerning about the k to 12 program was held in the University of Makati (UMak) for the purpose of discussing the issues and evaluating concern about the program.

Armin Luisitro, Education Secretary, discussed the overview of k to 12 in the country’s education system. He also said that the purpose of the summit is to invite the leaders and educators of private and public school to discuss the program to them. One of the discussions tackled in the summit is that how k to 12 will go further applying the most convenient methods and approaches of teaching.

Luisitro reasoned for the summit “Definitely, this is our first Summit. We have invited local universities and colleges, as well as state universities and colleges, in this event because we want them also to be part of the launching and planning of the program’s transition. Although the nationwide implementation of Senior High School [SHS] is in 2016, this year, however, is the transition year of K to 12. They still have an ample time to prepare for this before the full implementation.”

He also pointed out “What we are also discussing here is to find an answer on how can we easily get into the actual transition. This can be problematic if we will not plan and provide the necessary preparation for this program. That’s why they still have three or four years to have the best preparation before the 2016.”

Luisito and other members of the education sector choose UMak as the host of the summit by the reason that the university has the largest number of enrollees of the program. Students more than 5,000 are enrolled in UMak. And the other reason is that the design of the program of UMak is very innovative and their transition of grade 10 and 11 signifies positive outcomes.

Tomas Lopez, president of UMak and Association of Local Colleges and Universities, said that the purpose of summit is to understand the rationale, objectives, mechanics and others of the program and also to discuss some issues and challenges regarding the new program. He also said that the summit’s objective is the discussion of important strategies and measures for policy recommendation to legislative and executive bodies like the DepEd, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority and Commission on Higher Education, geared for a smooth, full implementation of the K-12 program.

The message of this news article is that the people responsible to the program are making move to make this program to have a positive outcome. They are being meticulous to issues occurring and to issues that they think will probable arise soon. So, they are developing this program to become successful.

I think, those people in charge are doing a great job and want to secure the success of the program. They do not wait to the problems arise but they are preparing for possible problems and think for possible solution to the problems. I think the summit will be a big help to find problems and make a solution to it, give suggestion and more.

HW1: Background of Survey

There are lots of articles in my blog site that discuss about the k to 12 implemented in the Philippines. I spend hours, days, and weeks researching about k to 12 education program and discovered things that gives me knowledge about my study. I have read experts opinions, articles and news about my topic then post it to my blog. I have learned that the K to 12 was implemented to the students who will enter as a Grade 1 this year. And also they clarify that the k to 12 program is not a 12 years but a 13 years of a program on education. It includes the kindergarten, Grade 1 to 6, 4 years of junior high school and then another 2 years of senior high school. What I do not know about my topic if some school has already implemented k to 12 to their curriculum and if Filipino like this program to be implemented.

The final draft of Chapter 1 of my paper is done and I need to proceed to my Chapter 2 of my study. To help me finish chapter 2, I need to conduct surveys to people who I think can help me to my research paper. I made survey questions for students, teachers, parents, or people who have knowledge and can give opinion to my topic. I will conduct a survey to at least 20-50 people which I think I can find answers/ideas on what am I looking for. These survey questions are can be answered for at least 5-15 minutes.

I have prepared a survey questions for those people. Questions like what are their opinion about the k to 12 here in the Philippines, which is better k to 12 or the 10 year program, possible effects to the students who will graduate from k to 12, effects to the Philippines, thought on “education leads to innovation”, and how do they define k to 12 program.

After conducting this survey, I assume that my respondents will in favour upon implementing the k to 12 program. They have faith that our country is ready to this program, this program will produce more competitive graduates, and this program will lead Philippines to innovation. However, there are no graduates from this program in the Philippines yet. So, we cannot exactly tell what it will be.

K to 12 VS TESDA

On my 1st year here in manila, I saw this building "TESDA" on my way to the school. And I ask my parents "What is it?" and my parents replied that it was school that enhancing your vocational skills. Today, K-to-12 is already implementing to the Philippines, I was wondering if TESDA will compete to this educational program. Because TESDA can give job for how many months only after graduating in high school than going to college with 3-5 years. Then, I do my research.

Based on the Inquirer, there is this article named “TESDA head says k+12 Program won’t affect agency” made by the Cebu Daily News. In this article, Joey Villanueva, TESDA Secretary Genral, said that TESDA would not be affected by the k to 12 program because they still have the authority to give competency certificates to those who completed vocational courses in TESDA.

Employers in our country and especially overseas, require submission of certificates that serves as a proof of their competence in certain skills and fields. That this kind of certificate TESDA can provide.

Mr. Villanueva clarify that TESDA wasn’t competing to schools/colleges/universities. TESDA was giving an option to people choose their possible career paths in the agency.

TESDA is not competing with the DepEd program. The agency only offers courses that will enrich your skills that will applicable on some jobs. In k to 12 program, it included vocational skills. That’s way there is a issue that k to 12 program will affect the TESDA agency.

Mother Tongue it is!

An article of GMA Network named “K to12: Lessons to be taught in mother tongue to help students learn better and stay in school” by Richelle Sy-Kho. In that article, Mother tongue- based Multi-lingual education (MTB-MLE) is the main topic. The k to 12 program will be using the MTB-MLE from kindergarten to Grade 3 in both public and private schools.

Yolanda Quijano , DepEd Undersecretary, said that this kind of teaching will help the students easily understand the lesson and fill the sense of the children with sense of nationalism. Students taught in their native language learn better than foreign languages based on studies.

English and Filipino are still required even if there is a multi-language education. Another reason why this multi-language is part of the k to 12 program is to improve the comprehension skill of a student and mostly to reduce the drop outs rate of students.

That article by Richell Sy-Kho she emphasize to MTB-MLE which is the positive side of the k to 12 program. This MTB-MLE is the first step of the k to 12 program in order that the student will be ready going to the next level.

Academic Attraction in some countries

The NewsFlavor has this article “Why Foreign Students are Invading Philippines Schools” by Success Kanayo Uchime. The writer based on the report of the Agence France-Presee (AFP) report that the factors why foreign students enrolled to the Philippine Schools are schools are affordable and it has high-quality offered courses that conducted in English and an average Filipino students have an easy-going lifestyle outside the class.

Mr. Uchime said that manila schools are conducting in some countries that’s why some foreign people have knowledge that Philippines have an affordable and high-quality courses. Philippines use an English language which is the second language that is used in the country. The author believes that Philippines doesn’t have disadvantage on getting a job in the US. And he also stated that Philippines is making the country as the academic attraction in the Asia.

This article is like an advertisement that those foreign students which are having a financial problem regarding to their school in their country have a choice to enroll to the Philippines which it offers affordable and high quality courses, and conducting a English language inside the class.

I conclude to this post that Philippines don’t have a poor quality education unlike what other articles said. So, having a K to 12 system implemented to the country makes the Philippines more attractable in academics for foreign students because the education system in some countries will be similar to ours.

Collaboration leads Innovation

One day, I was watching this news about the filipino inventor who sells his invention to other country because our government didn't want to buy his invention. I realized that we filipino can do some invention like other country does. And also

In the ABS-CBN News, the article “Philippine education ranked 'poor'” was published by Max V. de Leon of Business Mirror. On the article of Mr. de Leon, he quoted first what Guillermo M. Luz, co-chairman of National Competitiveness Council (NCC) said that “The Philippines ranks a poor seventh among nine Southeast Asian nations in the area of education and innovation”. A result from Global Competitiveness Report of the World Economic Forum shows that the Philippines didn't make at least the top 50 out of the 138 economies at any area in primary education. 99th out of 138 economies was the ranking of the Philippines. The Philippines is 69th in educational system, 112th in science and mathematics, and 76th on the Internet access. In other categories, Singapore, Brunei, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam are ahead to Philippines.

Luz had a proposal “Greater collaboration on strategic plans and processes for industry and government for tighter cohesion.” He believes that if the universities and industries collaborate there will be an innovation or discoveries occur and the budget for other matters will be reduced. He also wanted that to minimize the number of colleges/universities in the country and to rationalize the system. He believes that there will be a few but better universities.

The article by Mr. de Leon tries to tell the readers that even if the Philippines ranked 8th in the Southeast Asia in the fields of education, science and mathematics, and innovation. The country only needs to collaboration of universities and industry for us to rank up to the statistics in education, science and mathematics, and innovation. I believe in this article collaboration of the two would be a bright idea it’s like a give and take. One will benefit from the other and vice versa.

I realized in this article that Philippines should help each other. The idea of collaboration of universities and industries will make big differences. Schools, universities and colleges would have funds for their needs on what they lack because there would be industry sector to support them. And Industries would have new discoveries that the universities contributed to them that will lead the country for innovation. If this happens I think the Kto 12 system would not be needed in the country.

disadvantages of K to12?

Some filipino disagrees to the "k-to-12" program. Some doesn't want this program to be implemented in the country. May be the view point of this people is the negative side that's way the don't agree to this program. And I wonder what are their reason why they don't want this program to be implemented. And I go to my laptop then surf the net. I found many articles, but one caught my attention.

From the OMMSTER website, I found this article K+12 Education System: Not A Good Idea, For Now by Sherica Fabienne Ocbanbia. The writer is obviously disapproved the k to 12 education system. She said that the k to 12 would be a bad idea in our country as of today. In the article she explained her reasons why k to 12 is a bad idea to our country. She pointed out 5 reasons why it is a bad idea, those are:

· Poverty
· Teacher’s Training and Interest
· Student’s Interest To Study
· Private Schools Will Benefit…On the Business Side
· F for Facilities

First in Poverty, she exaggerated the word “this” in her statement “THIS is the most glaring issue here and THIS is the most popular reason”. Most Filipinos are having a financial difficulty, especially on their budget on their primary needs for their own family. Some parents or guardians work hard just to send their kids to school and to have a quality education because quality education is hard to obtain for young member of the family.

Teacher’s training and interest, teachers today are complaining for a low rate salary. K to 12 will increase their task or work. If this happens there would be a probability that teacher would seek for another job than to do a lot of work with a low paying job.
Student’s Interest to study, we are introduced with the new technology today and most children are addicted to computer games and stuff. Cellphones, music player, laptop and other gadgets will lead students more interested in it than to study. The writer said “Some students even don’t make their assignments on their own, and they “bully” or “pay” the smartest in their class by letting them do it. Some even cram to the max level days before the deadline of submission.” And she also observed that some students find learning disinteresting for the reason they don’t like the subject or the teacher. So, students tend not to listen but they do other things.

Private Schools Will Benefit…On the Business Side, schools today increases their tuition fees, especially the miscellaneous fees. Under miscellaneous fees some fees added which are not advisable are included.

Lastly F for Facilities, she graded our educational facilities as F because some schools today especially the public schools have really poor quality in their facilities.

There are a lot of problems in the Philippine education that we should care about for long term solutions. She wants to point out that we should restore the quality of education before we implement the k to 12 system.

Ms. Ocbanbia was right about her blog. But her point of view was the negative side of implementing the k to 12. I think that additional funds are needed for the solution to all of the reason why it is a bad idea, except for the “Student’s Interest to Study”. This “Student’s Interest to Study” is a parental concern. Parents should talk to their children on motivating them to study and others.

I conclude, in order that the k to 12 would be ready in the Philippines. Government should give additional funds regarding to Philippine education to help schools to have better services and facilities. And Parents should be always there for their children if their children need them.
