Summary, Conclusions and
Recommendations
SUMMARY
This paper attempted to identify or determine the effects of having k to
12 implemented in the Philippines.
The research design used in this study is a descriptive research method
wherein data from online articles, surveys and interviews were used to answer
the research question posed. The research findings are the following:
1. Negative effects of
the k to 12 program are: there will be an increase of drop out rate for
students under k to 12 program, additional cost will be needed by the
government, and parents should put up additional cost for their children.
2. Positive effects of
the k to 12 program are: students will have time to master their subjects, teachers
will be motivated to teach due to an increase of salary, students will be
globally competitive due to recognition globally, student will be ready to
enter into college, and graduates of the program can enter into job based on
their vocational skills.
CONCLUSIONS
Based on the findings of this study, the following conclusions are drawn:
1.
Teachers will be
effective, efficient and motivated.
2.
Students will receive a
good quality of education.
3.
Additional problem by the
parents to spend money for their children.
4.
Government should increase funds to enable to produce more classrooms,
books and better facilities to accommodate number of students
5.
Government should prepare
what is needed before they implement the program, not prepare while
implementing the program.
RECOMMENDATIONS
After drawing the conclusions of the study, the research hereby make the
following suggestions/recommendations:
1. There should be a researcher who
will conduct a study regarding to the quality of education between the k to 12
program and the 10 year program.
2. There should be a research upon
the progress of the program.
3. When there are graduates from the
program, a research shall conduct the effectiveness of the k to 12 program.
